Carolina Nature Coalition and the Craven County NAACP will host William J. Barber III at 7 PM on Tuesday, October 25th at the UU Fellowship hall, 308 Meadow St., New Bern. He will clarify what “Environmental Justice, Climate Justice and the Fight Against Environmental Racism” mean. Mr. Barber, who embodies a deep commitment to social and environmental stewardship, will discuss his involvement with the formation of the Rural Beacon Initiative, which offers community solutions, and his work within the American Green Bank Movement that drives clean investments into historically underserved communities. A Question and Answer session will follow the presentation. This event is open to the public.
